Pintxos are extraordinary culinary delights!

In my previous article, I found myself frequently distracted by the gastronomic offerings, and this shall be a continuation focused entirely on that aspect—pintxos!

Fundamentally, pintxos represent hors d’oeuvres; however, they can seamlessly serve as a main course.

The concept revolves around socializing at various bars, where you can indulge in a pintxo or two alongside family and friends.

Moreover, one can enjoy a drink during this delightful experience! This may evoke the image of a bar crawl, but in reality, it is a vibrant exploration of mini restaurants offering quick dining experiences…

One noteworthy establishment, A Fuego Negro, boasts some of the finest gourmet pintxos one can find in the area!


Check out this unique fish ice cream… (or at least it resembled fish; indeed, it was something seafood-like).




My selected dish consisted of squid ink ice cream paired with creamy rice. This combination provoked quite a range of emotions while consuming it—still, I managed to finish it promptly!





Lloyd is particularly engrossed with social media, while Milou appears to be quite occupied with her activities…


Subsequently, we ventured from one bar to another, sampling a wider array of pintxos. While I am not typically fond of bread-based dishes, even those here were remarkably delightful.

They exceeded my expectations in taste, each pintxo compelling me to eagerly anticipate the next—absolutely phenomenal! I attribute this to the freshness of the ingredients, which significantly enhances their flavor.

The culinary adventure continued with an array of glorious confections! Each option was more mouthwatering than the last.



The delightful assortment of cakes was followed by a comforting coffee, leading us to a state of blissful fullness. Afterward, we needed a brief pause to recuperate from our feast.

The Basque region undoubtedly embodies culinary excellence.
