Summary
The next morning in Montgenevre, even with the sun shining in the clear blue skies, we sensed that the ski conditions would be outstanding.
(If you missed out on the previous day – check out the full post here.)
Indeed, the conditions were exceptional! Speeding through breakfast, we quickly made our way to the slopes of Montgenevre.
Upon arrival, we performed some practice laps for a very important reason. Due to my wider feet, I find it challenging to find the right ski boots (the fitting center is often painful). If I need to make adjustments, I’d prefer to do so early in the day to ensure comfort while skiing.
With the sun shining, Montgenevre’s breathtaking beauty truly shines through.
Picture endless blue skies, snow-capped mountains, and those charming wooden alpine ski chalets.
It is simply breathtaking!
With my ski boots tested and confidence gained, we ascended the ski lift for exhilarating downhill runs, absorbing the exquisite view of snow-dusted trees whizzing past us.
The panoramic view from the top offers something truly special!
After enjoying a few exhilarating runs, we took a well-deserved break for lunch (along with a refreshing beer) high in the mountains!
^Don’t ask. 😀 I just found that photos of me in that awkward position and I have no clue how I got into it or indeed, out of it. 😄
With lunch complete, we continued with our main objective in Montgenevre – skiing! The ski run from the mountain’s peak stood out as one of the longest I had tackled, filling me with a sense of accomplishment, ensuring that our visit to Montgenevre was unforgettable!
