Dog owners will be pleased to know that Polzeath Beach welcomes dogs from October 1st to May 14th. Outside of these dates, dogs are allowed on the beach only before 10 AM and after 6 PM.

We chose to rent a board and wetsuits from the family-run TJ’s Surf Shop, conveniently located near Cone Zone, which is an excellent spot for an ice cream or smoothie after surfing. You can rent surfboards by the hour or for the entire day, and all equipment is meticulously maintained by experienced professionals.
During the rental process, a card is held as a deposit, and charges are applied based on the time used post-surfing.
If you are new to surfing, I highly recommend taking a lesson. Instructors provide essential training to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience in the water.
