Getting to the National Building Museum

Museum Hours
The museum operates Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. Please note that the Building Zone closes at 4 pm. The museum remains closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
Admission
Entry to the Great Hall and docent-led tours of the historic building are free. However, the following prices apply for access to all galleries, including Play Work Build, House & Home, and Building Zone:
- $8 for adults
- $5 for youth (ages 3-17), students with ID, and seniors (65 and over)
- $3 for access to the Building Zone only, aimed at children aged 2-6
- Free for museum members, children under 2, active-duty military, and their families
Tours
Tours are available at the National Building Museum from Monday to Wednesday at 12:30 pm, and Thursday through Sunday at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, and 1:30 pm. It is important to note that reservations are necessary for groups of 10 or more.
