Day 1-2: Villa Air, Seminyak
Our initial destination was Villa Air. We arrived early in the morning after a strenuous 16-hour flight, and were thoroughly impressed by the stunning resort secluded within a tropical garden. Upon our arrival, the hotel personnel greeted us with a welcome beverage and a cold towel. The warm demeanor of the staff promptly made us feel at home. A gracious individual from the reception escorted us to our villa, and we were taken aback by its spaciousness. Featuring a lovely garden, a fully equipped outdoor lounge with a kitchen, a pristine pool, and a sizable bedroom adorned with white linens—a personal favorite of mine! Our astonishment continued as we encountered the bathroom, which was even larger than the bedroom! Adorned with marble and mirrors, it represented the epitome of luxury.
The following day, we ordered breakfast served at our villa while enjoying the tranquility of our garden. After 1 PM, we had our appointment at Villa Air Spa, so we donned our kimonos and made our way to the spa area. They greeted us with a special blend of tea infused with cardamom, cinnamon, and other spices. We both selected the Traditional Balinese Massage and had the option to choose our preferred massage oil—I opted for tea tree and lemongrass, my personal favorite. The only regret was that our stay at Villa Air spanned only two days, as there was so much to appreciate. It is evident that I wish to return!
Day 3-4: Villa Ariana Grande, Canggu
We thoroughly enjoyed our second villa, Villa Ariana Grande, and our experience was impeccable. The villa is stunning and tranquil. Liam, our host, provided us with comprehensive information about the villa and the activities available nearby. The pool is generously sized and pleasantly warm, while the garden is lush and inviting! This villa was aesthetically pleasing, designed with exquisite taste. The living area resembles a photoshoot set—with gleaming black walls, a large sofa, and a sizable table adorned with fresh flowers. We found no reason to venture outside for meals as we had ample space available. The bedrooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are both comfortable and immaculate. The staff performs thorough cleaning daily, and a security guard is present at night. Our days were spent in the garden and swimming pool. After sunset, the streets surrounding the villa come alive with delightful street food, which we brought back to our living room to enjoy and unwind. Without a doubt, I would stay there again, even just to take a nap on the swing beside the pool.
Day 5-6: Amora Villas, Ubud
I hold vivid memories of Ubud, particularly from Amora Villas, which offers breathtaking views of the jungle. These villas are located next to a picturesque trail in the heart of the jungle, in close proximity to Ubud city. The staff received us warmly, offering a beverage, a cool towel, a flower placed in our hair, and a special bracelet, which I still wear as a reminder of this enchanting place and for good fortune. They provided exemplary service for every activity we wished to undertake in Ubud. We had the opportunity to engage in morning yoga with an enchanting view of the jungle. For those seeking a romantic experience during their stay, dining on the terrace could be specially arranged. If adventure intrigues you, I recommend renting bicycles from Amora to explore Ubud, allowing you to absorb the stunning views and sounds of the surrounding jungle. I feel at ease just reminiscing about our time there… massages, nature, rice paddies, and monkeys will remain etched in my memory for a long time. We undoubtedly have to return and immerse ourselves in the infinity pool with a view of the untouched wilderness!
