2023 has certainly been a memorable year; amidst the challenges, a noteworthy trend has emerged—an increased connection with nature. Many individuals are embracing the outdoors, whether within their own gardens, on public or state lands, or in our nation’s national parks.

When I embarked on my travel journey, I initially felt like a fish out of water, struggling to navigate the complexities of exploration. Mistakes were common: I lost money, had unpleasant dining experiences, and even left my credit card with my partner while heading to Rome, resulting in an emotional moment in a train station bathroom. Additionally, I once paid for two buses in Panama because I couldn’t determine which one I needed to return to Panama City.
