Summary
Ski and Snowboard Community Excitement
There’s a distinct giddy excitement among the ski and snowboard community this time of year. As the fall leaves finally drop to the ground and most people start digging out their hats and mittens, skiers and riders are sharing long-range forecasts with their group chats, pouring over new trail maps, and thinking about which backcountry adventures to take this year. Moreover, Airbnb is in on the soon-to-be winter fun, announcing its most wish-listed ski-in, ski-out properties in the world, including one very special property right here in the United States.
Airbnb’s Most Wish-Listed Property
The home rental giant shared some of the most wish-listed stays in the Ski-in/out Category, and the New Modern House in Big Sky, Montana, was the only U.S.-based house to make the list. Consequently, it’s very easy to see why so many people wish they could stay in this gorgeous abode.
Features of the Big Sky Home
The three-bedroom, two-bath home boasts stunning views of Lone Peak out of its oversized windows, allowing both the light to pour in and the vistas to appear as if they were framed just for you. In addition, the living room windows open fully to the patio outside, providing an excellent option for indoor/outdoor living on perfect bluebird days.
The deck also features a hot tub for après ski soaks, a BBQ for mealtime, and an outdoor fireplace for roasting marshmallows with your travel companions.
The open floor plan allows for plenty of space to stretch out, which is advantageous considering the home says it can fit up to eight guests comfortably per stay.
Inside, guests can stay warm by the fireplace, lounge on the plush leather furnishings, gather in the chef’s kitchen, or retreat to cozy rooms. These include a custom-made, triple-decker bunk bed space for kids, along with queen and king bedding for adults. Furthermore, the home contains a washer and dryer, which serves as a key amenity for handling all those dirty and wet ski clothes.
Location and Accessibility
As for the skiing, the home sits just one mile from the Big Sky parking lot and is only .3 miles to the White Otter 2 lift, which you can ski to. However, you will need a ride back when you’re done shredding for the day. Nevertheless, we’ll take what we can get, especially for a space like this.
