The list comes out each year to elect the best destinations in the continent according to travelers themselves. With more than 600,000 votes, the winner for 2020 is the French city of Colmar, located in the Alsace region at the border with Germany and Switzerland. Colmar can be visited all year round because every season has something unique to offer, from the magical Christmas markets to the vineyards ready for harvest in autumn.

Second place on the list went to Greece’s capital Athens, which features a great mix of stunning culture that makes the city an open-air museum and a vibrant nightlife. The podium was finished off by Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, showcasing a guaranteed “wow” factor thanks to its striking mix of architectural styles.

Honestly, one of the safest cities in Europe, Vienna, secured its spot at number four in the list due to its fascinating royal history and its overall classy vibe. In fifth place is Portugal’s Cascais, solidifying its title as one of the most beautiful coastal destinations in Europe.
