Traffic in Kathmandu can be overwhelming, and pedestrians often do not yield. Walking is feasible, although it frequently takes longer than anticipated. For those preferring not to walk, a riding service similar to Uber, called Pathao , is available for convenient transportation at competitive rates.

Exercise caution when crossing the streets—it’s advisable to follow the crowd as they navigate traffic, as vehicles do not stop unless compelled. Every crossing felt somewhat precarious, and I often questioned whether I would make it safely across.

It is one of the city’s major attractions for both local youths and international tourists. This lively area is surrounded by shops and eateries, making it ideal for savoring momos after exploring.

Pashupatinath Temple

Situated near the airport and alongside the Bagmati River, Pashupatinath Temple is a revered site for Hindu cremation rites and religious ceremonies. This enchanting temple is particularly striking at night when illuminated, and its safety allows for visits at any hour.
