Gulf Shores stands out as one of my favorite locations in Alabama, renowned for its stunning coastal scenery. The region is highlighted by several miles of pristine sandy beaches, extending to the captivating Fort Morgan State Historic Site, a must-visit while in the Gulf Shores locale.
While visiting, ensure you explore Orange Beach and the broader Gulf Highlands area, noted for its beautiful coastline.
Additionally, you may enjoy a delightful meal at Sassy Bass Island Grill, which lives up to its name with incredible dishes. Be sure to inquire about the day’s catch, which is always fresh, or sample the delicious mahi mahi tacos.
5.) Selma
Located west of Montgomery, Selma offers another exceptional urban experience to explore in Alabama. While there, take the opportunity to visit the National Voting Rights Museum and Institute.
