The United States presents a remarkable diversity across its states. For instance, destinations such as Hawaii, Washington, and Florida illustrate the vastness of experiences available. A location that consistently captivates me is the West Coast, renowned for its exceptional attractions, making it a must-visit area in the USA, particularly for first-time visitors.

The region is abundant with vibrant cities, remarkable national parks, breathtaking drives, and the ever-popular In-N-Out Burgers.

Before I delve into more personal dietary habits, I’m eager to share some of the premier destinations on the West Coast that you should not overlook.

Several locations highlighted are directly along the Pacific Coast of the United States, while others may require a drive inland within the western region of the country. Here are the top destinations you should consider exploring:

1.) Seattle, Washington

Seattle is often categorized as an ‘alternative’ city in the US, but it certainly encompasses much more than that. After spending five days in this city, we cherished every moment!

The vibrant coffee culture is not solely dominated by Starbucks; the city boasts a thriving live art scene, including notable venues like CoCA and Venue, as well as numerous craft breweries such as Georgetown Brewing Company.

If this is your inaugural visit to Seattle, be sure to explore Pike Place Market, enjoy a cappuccino from the original Starbucks, ascend the Space Needle for breathtaking views, and indulge in delicious clam chowder available in abundance.

2.) San Francisco, California

When identifying the finest locations along the West Coast, San Francisco ranks exceptionally high and has been a city I have visited multiple times.

Your first visit should include iconic sites such as Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz, Haight Street, and Lombard Street, as well as the breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge. However, there is so much more to experience in this vibrant city.

3.) Los Angeles, California

To be candid, I have traveled to Los Angeles on two occasions and, to this day, have yet to find my footing within the city. While many rave about it, I have yet to share that perspective.

Nonetheless, LA is a city worth visiting. Although it is less pedestrian-friendly compared to cities like London, navigating by car is a feasible option.

During my first visit, access was denied due to insufficient water supply; thus, preparation is essential.

Once you arrive, make sure to visit Dante’s View for unparalleled vistas of Death Valley, explore Zabriskie Point, and venture to Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America.

5.) Napa Valley, California

A true paradise for wine aficionados, Napa Valley is celebrated for its exquisite wineries and vineyards.

The selection can be overwhelming, with options like Pride Mountain Vineyards, Modus Operandi Cellars, and V. Sattui offering a superb starting point for exploration.
