Summary of 10 Best Shoreditch Bars in London 2025:
There are so many gorgeous areas of London to explore, with Shoreditch being no exception. There’s everything from retro stores, cool markets, and a host of the best bars in Shoreditch that are dotted all over the place.
Now, one of the best things about Shoreditch is that it’s constantly changing. It’s an area of London that is always full of surprises, with new establishments popping up all the time.
Better still, there’s a tasty watering hole to suit every parched throat. After all, that’s the beauty of a diverse neighborhood like Shoreditch… there are just so many different bars.
In some ways, Shoreditch feels similar to Camden Town. It has a really strong identity, which has become a proper hipster hangout. Though don’t worry, you don’t need a twirled moustache, ruffled hair, or a sleeve of tattoos to fit in. Shoreditch is for everyone.
Over the last few years, it has truly cemented itself into the culture of London life. This is especially true with all those best bars in Shoreditch that are too good to miss.
With that in mind, I wanted to take you away from the main sights in London and focus more on some cool hangouts and the best bars in Shoreditch that you can’t miss on a weekend.
Take a look, below, at the best bars in Shoreditch to pop into. Have the best night!
1.) TT Liquor
Based on Kingsland Road, TT Liquor is easily one of the best bars in Shoreditch to start your night. It’s a pretty intimate little joint, but they make some of the best cocktails this side of London.
Make sure to try their Old Cuban and have a dabble with their gin selection too. Just be aware, it can get pretty busy on weekends, so plan accordingly.
2.) Callooh Callay Bar
Okay, so there is no lion or witch, but there certainly is a wardrobe! Walk through the (not so) secret wardrobe entrance and you will discover the Callooh Callay Bar. It’s pretty quirky and still one of the best bars in Shoreditch for some great cocktails.
Better still, they don’t just do run-of-the-mill cocktails and focus on more obscure flavors. Now, the cocktails change seasonally, but one that I loved was the Bread Winner. This all consisted of: bread milk, cinnamon, rum, and lots of chestnuts.
3.) XOYO
Okay, so XOYO is something of an institution when it comes to the best bars in Shoreditch. It’s the kind of place you rock up and suddenly realize it’s 5 am and you’ve been there for like five hours.
One of the things I love most about XOYO is that there’s something for everyone. Their philosophy is to mix up tracks, between the likes of hip-hop, jazz, drum and bass, and soul. This all means that everyone will be dancing at some point in the night.
Expect lots of loud music and a crazy fun party atmosphere that’ll leave you wandering back to your hotel in the wee hours.
4.) London Cocktail Club
The London Cocktail Club creates some of the tastiest cocktails in London. This alone makes it one of the best bars in Shoreditch to spend the start of the night before heading to places like XOYO.
Once here, make sure to check out their weekly special and ask for recommendations too. These guys know their stuff.
5.) The Cocktail Trading Company
Perched on Bethnal Green Road, the Cocktail Trading Company is a pretty cool hangout in Shoreditch. That being said, it’s easily one of the best bars in Shoreditch for the cocktails alone.
Once you head inside, you’ll see how experimental their cocktail list is. Definitely try the American Pie cocktail, which is literally like drinking an apple pie! It’s so good.
One thing to note, the cocktails are a little bit experimental (which is amazing). Though, if that’s not your thing, they’ll easily whip up a firm favorite that you want. The team knows their drinks.
6.) Found
Based on Ravey Street, Found is an uber cool little bar that has some pretty tasty drinks. One of the favorites has to be ‘Tommy goes to Thailand,’ which is totally yummy.
The thing that makes Found one of the best bars in Shoreditch is the vibe, too. It’s pretty chilled and is a really good spot for a hangout with friends.
7.) The Book Club
Situated on Leonard Street, The Book Club is one of the best bars in Shoreditch that isn’t just about drinks. Open until around midnight, it’s the kind of place to go for afternoon Pimms, cocktails, and a yummy brunch.
Now, stay a little later, and the whole vibe of The Book Club changes. It becomes more of an evening lounge with music and gets really popular. It’s a great little bar that can’t be missed in Shoreditch.
8.) Night Jar
Perched on the edge of Shoreditch (near Old Street), Night Jar is an epic spot that has some old-school glamour to it.
Once here, head inside to catch their live music and sample the pre-prohibition cocktails they’ve created. One favorite has to be the ‘Eye Opener’ with amber Vermouth. You’ll love it.
They also have a quirky, ‘Flying High’ that’s infused with cold-brew coffee and served in a metal bird no less.
9.) Old Street Records
Based on Old Street, Old Street Records is the kind of place that fuses good music and amazing cocktails in one spot.
Once here, make sure to try their ‘Strawberry Fields’ cocktail that’s made with fresh mint and strawberry puree. Best of all, between 5–8 pm every day, Old Street Records has a 2-for-1 offer on all cocktails.
I mean, this alone makes it one of the best bars in Shoreditch for a tipple (or two).
10.) Happiness Forgets
Based on Hoxton Square, Happiness Forgets is a pretty intimate little speakeasy that’s perfect for evening drinks.
Now, it’s best to reserve your table if you definitely want to visit (remember, it’s very small) as tables always fill up.
Open between 5-11 pm every night, it’s one of the best bars in Shoreditch if you’re looking for a more secret speakeasy.
