Disney California Adventure, which opened in 2001, is located adjacent to the original Disneyland Park, sharing the entrance plaza. The parks, alongside Downtown Disney and three Disney hotels, form the Disneyland Resort. While the park features some rides similar to Hollywood Pictures Backlot at Disney World in Florida, the majority of its attractions are exclusive to California Adventure.
