Suwat Waterfall Bali – What To Expect
The path leading to the waterfall is very easy to navigate, taking you through a small bamboo forest and vibrant tropical foliage along the way.
At the base, you’ll encounter stunning rock carvings and a vast natural pool with a 20-meter waterfall at the rear. The bamboo raft, crafted by locals, adds to the charm, and there’s even a cave to explore behind the cascades.
Suwat Waterfall, also known by its Indonesian name Air Terjun Suwat, is relatively unknown to foreign tourists, as it seems to be absent from English blogs! During our visit, we only encountered a few locals there.
This delightful waterfall is indeed a hidden treasure, and I suspect it will inevitably become popular and crowded over time, much like the Kanto Lampo and Tibumana waterfalls.

How To Get There
Suwat Waterfall is situated in Gianyar, merely 30 minutes from Ubud. Conversely, if you’re traveling from Canggu or Kuta, expect a drive of around 1 hour.
The most efficient way to reach the waterfall is to rent a scooter or hire a private car and driver (both options are easily booked online).
Upon arrival, it’s a short 5-minute walk down to the waterfall. Enjoy!
