Our all-female team from GoTravelDaily had the opportunity to spend two nights at the exquisite Sri Panwa resort, situated high on Cape Panwa and providing breathtaking views of the southeastern tip of Phuket. This resort serves as a tropical sanctuary of comfort and luxury, featuring a selection of 7 pool suites, 24 one-bedroom, and 21 two-bedroom pool villas, along with 7 private residences situated up to 60 meters above sea level along the Eastern and Western ridges of Cape Panwa.
The distinctive interior design aims to harmonize with Sri Panwa’s tropical surroundings, utilizing earthy tones and natural materials such as signature terracotta, coupled with contemporary comforts of luxury living. The finest quality bed linens, traditionally crafted furniture, and a top-tier surround sound entertainment system contributed to an excellent stay.
POOL VILLAS
Days spent at the contemporary designed pool villas of Sri Panwa pass by too swiftly. We awakened to spectacular views of the Andaman Sea and its scattered islands from our beds, complemented by the shimmering water of our private infinity swimming pool equipped with a jet stream jacuzzi system. After indulging in an extensive and visually stunning breakfast selection at BABA Poolclub, we relished the luxury of a jacuzzi bubble bath overlooking our lush tropical garden with the ocean as a backdrop, followed by a swim with our favorite pool toys from Pineapple Decay.
We ordered lunch for in-villa dining after building up an appetite following the breakfast buffet and savored the complimentary minibar soft drinks and snacks in the afternoon within our private ocean-view pavilion, while enjoying our favorite songs accentuated by the in-house Bose sound system. Our afternoons were indeed delightful! The spacious rain shower doubles as a steam room where we spent our evenings relaxing and planned our photo opportunities for the following day. A refreshing plunge in the infinity pool was essential! Quality time with our #GoTravelDaily team has never been more effortless and luxurious in these expansive surroundings perched on the hills of Cape Panwa.
HABITA BY SRI PANWA
The recent addition to Sri Panwa is The Habita – a collection of 20 pool suites and 10 penthouses nestled within the resort’s tropical forest, each equipped with its own infinity pool that boasts views of the Andaman Sea. The design continues to fuse with the natural surroundings through earthy color schemes, while the entrance roof mimics a large wooden leaf.
We spent our final day lounging by the two-story waterfall main pool adorned with iconic striped sun umbrellas.
FOOD AND DINING OPTIONS
BABA POOL CLUB
The expansive indoor/outdoor facility has various offerings for all guests: from a 25-meter infinity-edge lap pool to a game room, alongside BabaQ Dining where breakfast is served each morning. We selected our preferred eggs, pancakes, and French toast, complemented by both hot and cold beverages ranging from Cappuccinos to Iced Lattes, and indulged in their extensive buffet selection for additional cravings (warm chocolate chip pancakes, for the record!).
We recommend setting aside any dietary resolutions as fresh muffins, nutritious bread, flavorful Thai green curry, and warm chocolate croissants are readily available. A secondary main reception caters to all personal requests.
BABA NEST
Prepare to be astounded upon entering this exclusive rooftop bar situated 60 meters above sea level. We enjoyed our preferred cocktails while soaking in the astonishing 360-degree panoramic views encompassing over 12 surrounding islands, the Andaman Sea, and Phuket’s southeastern peninsula.
Don’t forget to bring your camera and stylish attire: the view and Baba Nest’s signature striped pillows create the ideal setting for capturing iconic images! Kelly and Dominique wore dresses from the rising luxe resort wear brand KALITA.
GoTravelDaily TIP: Ensure to book one of the twelve tables at the 360-degree rooftop bar when planning your visit to Sri Panwa, as they tend to get reserved months in advance!
BABA SOUL FOOD
While staying at Sri Panwa, indulging in a dinner at Baba Soul Food, with its captivating architectural features, is essential.
We filled our table with delightful home-cooked Thai cuisine prepared with fresh, wholesome ingredients to share. Our culinary journey commenced with their flavorful Tom Kha Kai soup and Yam Woonsen Talay & Moo glass noodle salad. Must-tries from the main menu include Paneng Kae Yang (New Zealand lamb chops) and Pla Neung Ma-nao (steamed grouper with lime-chili sauce). To conclude this unique Thai dining experience, we highly recommend trying the Mango Sticky Rice dessert! #foodheaven

FITNESS CENTER
If you’ve indulged in perhaps one Mango Sticky Rice dessert too many or if you aim to stay active during your vacation, a workout at the Sri Panwa fitness center is imperative. The resort features a tennis court, boxing ring, and one of the most well-equipped hotel gyms you may encounter, making excuses difficult!
Staying fit has never been easier with state-of-the-art equipment, refreshing electrolyte drinks, motivating music, and a personal trainer at your side. Dominique and Domino engaged in a rigorous Thai Boxing session with Watson – a highly skilled trainer who introduces you to the basics while also pushing your limits!

If you seek to spend tranquil days within the seclusion of your own pool villa overlooking the stunning Andaman Sea, combined with the amenities of a luxurious 5-star resort, Sri Panwa is the ideal option for your next retreat.
It is understandable if you find yourself easily lost in the expansive tropical resort located at Cape Panwa on the Phuket peninsula, however, its welcoming staff and local tuk-tuks consistently appear to assist with any requests you may have.
Engage in snorkeling just off the resort’s private beach, take your inaugural Thai boxing class, relish in homemade local dishes, or swim in the infinity and waterfall pools – Sri Panwa ensures you will create lasting memories in beautiful Thailand!
