Ever since our expedition to Slovakia during the winter season, I have continuously encountered numerous images of Slovenia across various platforms (credit to Pinterest). A few weeks ago, during a discussion regarding my urgent desire to explore Slovenia, we received an inviting proposal to participate in a wine tour of the country.
To begin with – the notion of visiting Slovenia was already bound to bring me immense joy, but incorporating wine into the agenda made me quite ecstatic.
If you have followed our Snapchat account over the past several days (username: @ HandLuggageOnly), you might have noticed a significant amount of wine-related content. While I have attempted to share some of these moments on Instagram, there remain an abundance of photos I wish to present ahead of the complete blog posts.
Having now departed Slovenia with intentions to return (currently in Ibiza for the next few weeks – it feels surreal to consider that I was in both Slovenia and London merely hours ago), let me cease my ramblings and share some of the photos captured over the last few days in Maribor (the second-largest city in Slovenia), Ptuj (often regarded as the most captivating and undeniably the oldest town in Slovenia), as well as a few from its capital, Ljubljana.
