Summary
You may recall that there was an error regarding our accommodation in Odemira. Fortunately, this issue was resolved, allowing us to transition to the rooms confirmed in our initial reservation.
Our two-bedroom apartment at the Enigma – Nature and Water Hotel was quite impressive, but the upgraded rooms elevated our experience significantly further. Allow me to provide you with a tour of these remarkable spaces.
On this occasion, we intentionally opted for a leisurely pace. We enjoyed breakfast for two hours while perusing newspapers (which, fortunately, included some in English), relaxed by the pool for a while, retreated indoors for some wine when an unexpected rain shower occurred, and then returned to the pool.
Following lunch at the hotel, we opted to embark on a scenic drive along the coast.
Inexplicably, I cannot recall our exact destination during this drive. We seemed to be navigating without a specific goal, instead enjoying spontaneous detours as we pleased.
The picturesque region we explored permitted spontaneous choices, and consequently, we found ourselves amidst stunning scenery.
Rich beaches led us to tranquil villages…
We made the decision to pause in this village for an early dinner, considering our next-day departure for an early flight, ensuring there would be ample time to pack.
Post-dinner, we ventured to observe the sunset properly before returning to the car to journey home.
Although our activities on that particular day may seem limited, the sense of satisfaction was remarkable. We often invest substantial energy seeking ideal accommodations, only to swiftly abandon them in pursuit of other attractions. Therefore, striking a balance and taking the opportunity to relax in a space that demands both time and financial investment is always refreshing.
Ultimately, departing Portugal felt revitalizing, leaving us with a sense of fulfillment and eagerness to return in the future. Farewell for now, Portugal!
