Summary of the Article
Confession: I remain uncertain about the correct pronunciation of Phuket! Is the ‘Ph’ enunciated like ‘F’ or ‘P’? Likewise, is ‘Ket’ pronounced as ‘Pet’ or ‘Pit’? Admittedly, I was too enthusiastic upon my arrival in Phuket to ponder these queries extensively. My primary objective was to venture out and discover the local offerings!
As you might expect, none of this exploration could commence without a refreshing dip in the rooftop pool. Following the sweltering weather in Singapore and upon arriving in Thailand, the pool was an immensely appreciated reprieve!
To add to the enjoyment, our apartment featured a private plunge pool. Rather than transitioning from the rooftop pool to prepare for an evening out in Phuket, we became distracted (again) and indulged in another refreshing dip in the plunge pool! The experience of having a private ‘pool’ on your balcony is truly exceptional! The only enhancement needed would be a delightful beverage (perhaps something bubbly) to sip on while lounging in the water.

Our evening in Phuket was certainly a rather ‘unique experience’! I cannot assure you that any inappropriate encounters will be absent (specifically, for the men; but women generally fare better). Nevertheless, all occurrences are in good fun, so it is advisable to maintain a relaxed attitude during your night out in this vibrant locale. It can truly be enjoyable once you acclimatize to the ambiance, although I can foresee it might not appeal to everyone, particularly those who may be more reserved or less adventurous.
Ultimately, we secured a Tuk-Tuk to return home!
The ensuing day comprised an extensive exploration of the islands within Phang Nga Bay, but the volume of photographs from that adventure warrants a separate post! To conclude our island exploration, we transitioned to a different hotel, wherein we received an upgrade to a suite featuring a private balcony pool! A splendid way to unwind after a day full of activities!
As anticipated, we also indulged in a swim in the main pool, with the views from this vantage point being quite breathtaking!
