A vibrant island set on the sparkling Andaman Sea, Phuket was ideally chosen as the perfect destination for GoTravelDaily’s inaugural team retreat. Renowned for its plethora of holiday resorts, Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa exhibited a captivating warmth. With exceptional hospitality and picturesque surroundings, Dream Hotel presents a comprehensive package for an enjoyable stay.
Upon arrival with our weekend luggage at Phuket International Airport, we were warmly welcomed by our Dream Hotel chauffeur. The spacious transfer to the hotel marked an excellent beginning to our Dream Hotel experience, featuring high-speed Wi-Fi (perfect for social media posts) and luxurious leather seats that were so comfortable, one could easily drift into a short nap. The 30-minute journey from the airport to Dream Hotel passed swiftly.
Dream Hotel comprises 174 guest rooms, suites, and villas, all characterized by a modern and contemporary design. Its pristine white façade seamlessly integrates with the verdant mountains surrounding the area, offering countless picturesque opportunities. From the cascading vines to the palm trees encircling the main pool, it truly felt like a slice of a tropical paradise.
Our favorite feature was the infinity pool, gracefully positioned on the rooftop, providing panoramic views of the hotel and the mountains behind it. One could effortlessly spend the afternoon there enjoying sunbathing, swimming, capturing photographs, or simply relaxing with a leisurely read and a cocktail in hand.
Upon our arrival, any concerns quickly dissipated as we were presented with their signature welcome beverage – a concoction of pandanus leaf and butter nectar – in one hand, alongside a refreshing towel to alleviate the humidity in the other. From the check-in procedure to departure, the Dream Hotel staff exhibited an exceptional level of detail, professionalism, and efficiency in catering to our every need.
Renowned for its Modern Thai, Tuscan, and Contemporary European cuisine, Trilogy was a culinary delight during our stay at Dream Hotel Phuket. The interior design was understated yet inviting, characterized by bright and clean aesthetics with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that seamlessly connected the indoor and outdoor terraces. Additionally, it featured a spacious open kitchen.
Our gourmet breakfast at Trilogy comprised a diverse range of international delicacies, including Western favorites such as yogurt, pastries, and made-to-order eggs, alongside Asian choices like Pad Thai and congee. Unsurprisingly, we found ourselves enjoying breakfast during early hours of the morning – without any hint of embarrassment!
The three-course dinner at Trilogy was undoubtedly the highlight, featuring freshly prepared spring rolls, aromatic green curry with chicken (known as Keang Keaw Wan Gai), and a delightful Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. It was an exquisite conclusion to our day!
SANCTUARY SPA BY DREAM HOTEL
The Sanctuary Spa by Dream Hotel truly lives up to its name. A concealed gem designed for relaxation and indulgence, Sanctuary Spa offers an array of services ranging from massages, scrubs, and facials to hair care and styling treatments, all tailored to leave you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. We opted for the highly acclaimed Thai Massage, which undoubtedly was the best we’ve experienced. Without much direction, our skilled masseuse intuitively alleviated all tension in our shoulders, enabling us to relax completely and drift into a deep slumber. The spa experience concluded with hot towels nestled around our neck and ginger tea for a soothing finish – an experience we wished could last eternally.
Boasting stunning views of the Andaman Sea, Dream Beach Club features two pools, a restaurant offering indoor and outdoor dining options, as well as four bars. Following our arrival, we were met with a sudden downpour brought on by monsoon rains, prompting us to transition our tanning intentions to a delightful dining experience! As aficionados of seafood, we enjoyed Hokkaido Scallops Ceviche, followed by sushi rolls, Prawn Mango Salad, and to top off our meal, fresh coconuts and mojitos while observing the rain from the comfort of indoors. An afternoon well spent, as we can all concur!
