Parking Guide for the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum
If you’re coming to Oklahoma City to visit the powerful and sobering Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, you’ll find that parking is fairly plentiful and generally easy to navigate. Here is a list of the best places to park nearby.
NW 5th & Robinson
The closest and most convenient parking area for the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum is a small surface lot at NW 5th and Robinson Ave, just east of the museum building. Note that, as with other options on this list, there is a fee for parking in this lot.
Street Parking
Depending on when you visit, you may be able to get one of the metered parking spots along the streets around the Memorial. You’ll find several spots along Harvey just west of the grounds as well as along NW 5th west of Harvey. Meters cost $1 for 60 minutes or 25 cents for 15 minutes, in effect from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day but Sunday.
Bus Parking
If you’re arriving with a group on a bus, the Memorial has designated bus drop-off parking at NW 6th. For any inquiries regarding bus parking, you can contact the Memorial offices directly.
Nearby Garages
If you’re looking for a covered garage, the options are somewhat limited. Within a short walking distance just south of the Memorial at 4th and Harvey is the Dowell Center garage. It’s generally inexpensive, but there typically aren’t many spots available. However, for additional garage options, you’ll need to travel a bit further south to the Broadway/Kerr Parking garage, located southeast of the Memorial at Robert S. Kerr and Broadway.
Bricktown/Downtown Parking
Many Oklahoma City visitors want to experience multiple aspects of the city while here; therefore, parking in a centralized location could be the best idea. To get around, visitors can then walk, take a cab, the bus, or even ride a bicycle.
Nearby areas of interest include the Bricktown entertainment district to the southeast. Typically, $5 is the standard fee for parking in the area, and you’ll find multiple lots along Reno Avenue. There is also a large lot just before the Harkins Bricktown Theatre, as well as lots on Sheridan Avenue (north of Reno) and Main (north of Sheridan). Keep in mind that none of these are covered areas. For a covered garage in Bricktown, take Sheridan to the Bricktown Garage just north of the ballpark.
Additionally, the downtown area south of the Memorial offers attractions such as the Myriad Gardens, Civic Center Music Hall, or the OKC Museum of Art. Visitors should review their available parking options in downtown to ensure a convenient experience during their visit.
