Initially, I was not particularly keen on having a burger; however, I will elaborate on that later. Before we delve into the details, I suggest you grab a cup of tea (or perhaps a margarita) since this post includes numerous photographs. 😉
Exploring London on Foot
One of my preferred aspects of residing in Central London is the proximity to many captivating sights. Thus, when my friends visited this past weekend, we decided to explore London by walking!
Lloyd opted to try his Columbia Turbodown jacket. The jacket offers a combination of synthetic material and goose down, making it exceptionally lightweight while still providing warmth. He could not stop expressing how warm and remarkable the jacket was, which made me somewhat envious for not wearing mine.
Subsequently, my companions decided to visit the Moomin Shop in Covent Garden for reasons unknown, and that became our next destination.
While wandering around Covent Garden, I felt compelled to capture a few photos of the street performers. They primarily entertain tourists, yet I remain intrigued every time I see their hover acts. I understand the mechanics behind it, but this knowledge only enhances my fascination.
Dining at Five Guys
In light of all the walking, engaging conversations, and shopping, our group decided it was time to enjoy a meal—or perhaps two—at Five Guys. Although it may not be a novel concept to many, I find their offerings quite satisfactory! Typically, there is a considerable line outside, but rest assured, it moves at a reasonable pace.
Observe Lloyd’s eager expression as he gazes longingly at the food—even while we were still in line!
Upon entering, guests are greeted with complimentary peanuts to keep them occupied while contemplating their orders. A helpful tip: all toppings are complimentary, so feel free to indulge! Personally, I opt for all toppings except for mushrooms (a personal preference, as I find mushrooms unpleasant and reminiscent of soil).
You can watch as your burger is prepared, wrapped, and patiently await your number to be called! I may have experienced a few instances of confusion, mistaking my order for that of another.
Once satisfied, we made our way home. By this stage, London was enveloped in darkness, enhancing the city’s radiant charm.
Isn’t London particularly stunning by night? 🙂
Conclusion
In conclusion, exploring London on foot is indeed a delightful experience, especially when accompanied by good friends and delicious food. The city’s vibrancy, combined with its scenic views and cozy dining options like Five Guys, makes every stroll memorable.
