The Nusa Islands – Nusa Ceningan, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Penida – are less recognized compared to nearby islands such as the Gilis, yet they merit a spot on your travel itinerary. For those seeking an adventure away from the usual party vacationers, Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan represent ideal locations. Nested between Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan is a peaceful isle awaiting exploration.

GETTING THERE
Reaching Nusa Ceningan is surprisingly straightforward. You may opt for the fast cruise boat service operating between Sanur Beach on the southeast coast of Bali and Nusa Lembongan, or choose to travel directly with Le Pirate, who will manage your journey from your hotel to their establishment.
Within a thirty-minute boat ride from Sanur Beach, we found ourselves arriving at the clear blue waters and soft white sand of Nusa Lembongan. It felt akin to having reached the Maldives! From there, we were shuttled to the beach separating Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan, and boarded a small boat that transported us to the Ceningan side in under two minutes. After another 10-15 minutes, we arrived at Le Pirate Beach Club.
TIP: Travel light (preferably with a backpack) and wear flip flops! The fast cruise boat necessitates walking directly onto the beach and navigating knee-deep water to board.

THE BEACH BOX
The Le Pirate Beach Box is welcoming and stylish, embodying comfort and simplicity. Its clean white walls accented with vibrant turquoise details have captivated the attention of numerous Instagram enthusiasts! Following a brief photo session, we were ready to indulge in the natural pleasures that Le Pirate promotes, such as reading on the front porch, sunbathing by the pool, or engaging with the resident puppy, Molly.
You can select from a quaint Beach Box that accommodates 1-2 individuals, or a Bunk Bed that caters to 1-4 guests. Both alternatives include the essential modern amenities required – a cotton linen double bed, air conditioning, a wall fan, power outlets, Wi-Fi, and an outdoor bathroom. The simplicity is apparent, as the outdoor shower lacks hot water, relying solely on a push button with minimal water pressure. The benefit? Awaking to the melodies of nature and the gentle movement of palm trees alongside the soothing sound of waves. Embracing simplicity has never been so stylish!

FOOD & DRINKS
Le Pirate’s dining establishment presents a selection of both Indonesian and Western comfort cuisine, ensuring a wealth of options. You might opt for the traditional Nasi Goreng (Indonesian Fried Rice), or perhaps indulge in fresh Peruvian ceviche to embrace the island ambiance! The cocktail menu also reflects the beachy paradise vibes, offering refreshing selections such as Mojito, Watermelon Crush, Mango Martini, and Sailor Espresso.
The complimentary daily breakfast for guests includes nutritious and hearty offerings ranging from Eggs & Bacon to Banana Pancakes, and the Dragon Bowl. Should you find it hard to decide, a breakfast buffet featuring fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, French country bread, along with a selection of locally sourced jam and honey is also available. Complementing this delightful meal with a cup of coffee or tea will surely energize you for the day ahead.

The Le Pirate Beach Club harmonizes the ideal atmosphere with an infinity pool overlooking tranquil blue waters, complemented by a drink hut featuring music. Unwind on the pool loungers, take a dip, and let time drift away. Ultimately, you will find it hard to bid farewell to your day at Le Pirate Beach Club. However, when the time draws near, we encourage you to linger for a sunset session in Le Pirate’s front row seats with your companions, providing the ideal conclusion to your day.

Alternatively, if relaxation is your goal, visit the Le Pirate Lounge, which provides comfortable spots designed for guests who wish to unwind while enjoying the ocean breeze, or indulge in a well-deserved nap.
Le Pirate provided one of our most unforgettable retreats, characterized by its charming and relaxed atmosphere, ideally suited for adventurers wishing to escape the busyness of Seminyak. We left behind our concerns and shoes, opting for a barefoot pirate experience in this idyllic setting, and relished every moment. The Le Pirate staff were consistently approachable and welcoming, and the surroundings were stunning in every direction you looked. Except for your Beach Box, the majority of the property is outdoors, so be prepared to embrace the beauty of nature!
