Summary of Unique Nightlife Experiences
Between Formula 1 taking over the iconic Las Vegas strip in November and Super Bowl LVIII coming in February, all eyes will certainly be fixed on Sin City. With an increasing expectation of grand celebrations, there is simultaneously a shift toward more personal and intimate nocturnal experiences. Here, we highlight three unique concepts that are redefining nightlife in Las Vegas.
The Vault at Bellagio Resort & Casino
Bellagio Resort & Casino has introduced an exclusive cocktail bar, The Vault, which is only accessible through invitations. Although reservations cannot be made online, it’s recommended to send a note via their Instagram page (@thevaultbellagio) or inquire with a general manager at one of Bellagio’s restaurants for a chance at seats.
The Vault accommodates 50 guests and promises a serene ambiance. According to Craig Schoettler, MGM Resorts International’s executive director of beverage, the aim is to deliver exceptional drinks composed of “liquid history.” Patrons can look forward to a menu featuring playful twists on classic cocktails and rare spirits. For example, a sidecar crafted from 1930s Remy Martin cognac or daiquiris made with 1950s Bacardi rum sourced from the Bahamas.
This bar stands out with meticulous attention to detail, featuring fresh herbs and juices, precisely cut ice, Baccarat glassware, and a beautiful chandelier. Guests can delight in a selection of bar snacks including A5 Wagyu sandwiches, fried spaghetti, cheese bites, and various caviar preparations. The Vault operates from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. daily, with live entertainment available Thursday through Saturday. Signature cocktails range from $50 to $100, while vintage options are priced at the market rate.
Voltaire at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
Part of a significant $1 billion renovation, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas recently unveiled a new cabaret-style nightclub named Voltaire. This modern, retro disco-inspired venue draws parallels to the legendary Studio 54 in New York.
The inaugural headliner is Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue, marking her first Las Vegas residency at this 1,000-seat venue. According to Michael Gruber, chief content officer at The Venetian, the goal was to create an intimate setting for legendary performances. Voltaire promises an immersive experience, transforming conventional nightlife into memorable journeys.
Minogue’s 20-date run, scheduled through May 2024, sold out swiftly. However, limited VIP packages, which include exclusive backstage tours, remain available through ticketmaster.com.
Wax Rabbit at Durango Casino & Resort
Launching on November 20, Station Casinos will open the $750 million Durango Casino & Resort, presenting an exciting new entertainment venue.
For those in search of a cozy retreat, the resort boasts a Mexican restaurant called Mijo, where patrons can discover a terracotta brick hallway adorned with marigold flowers. This leads to an alcove where pulling on the right decorative rabbit grants entry into the agave-centric speakeasy, Wax Rabbit. This exclusive 1,000-square-foot space captures the essence of a tequila vault adorned with red drapes and plush banquettes.
At Wax Rabbit, guests can savor a variety of mezcal and tequila drinks, with highlights such as signature Oaxacan old fashions and añejo negronis. This venue promises an intimate atmosphere, encouraging patrons to unwind and enjoy the sophisticated beverage offerings within an immersive setting.
