Hutton Brickyards is a 100-acre resort and events retreat nestled along the picturesque Hudson River in Kingston, New York. Recently, it has introduced an inn that complements the existing riverfront cabins and extensive residence.

3. Experience Edgewood

Edgewood, a beautifully restored mansion dating back to the 1870s, began welcoming guests in October 2022. This elegant property features 12 guest rooms, including three suites, along with two event spaces, and a restaurant that focuses on seasonal cuisine and craft cocktails made from locally sourced ingredients.

Managed by Salt Hotels, the three-story inn showcases Second Empire architecture and underwent a year-long renovation. While the external façade, complete with its majestic tower, bay windows, and columned porch, has been meticulously preserved, the interiors have been thoughtfully updated to highlight the original architectural elements and the rich history of the region. The rooms are adorned with vintage furniture, charming bistro tables, and an inviting neutral color palette.

Edgewood enriches the overall experience at Hutton Brickyards, putting a spotlight on this historic property.”

The hotel’s signature restaurant and bar are situated on the ground floor, overlooking the scenic lawn and the Hudson River. In keeping with the Hutton Brickyards theme, Edgewood introduces two additional event spaces, The Drawing Room and The Parlor, which can be rented for various occasions, including receptions and cocktail events.

Hutton Brickyards has a storied past as a major supplier of bricks for over a century, helping to build numerous projects across the Hudson Valley and New York City. The factory ceased operations in the 1970s, and after a decade of renovations, it reopened as a modern events retreat in 2021.
