History and Background
The Hirshhorn Museum is the Smithsonian’s dedicated museum of modern and contemporary art, housing approximately 11,500 artworks. The museum hosts engaging programs, such as tours, lectures, and family events. Make sure to join a Highlights Tour, offered daily at 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM. These tours last approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
The Museum Shop offers a variety of items related to modern and contemporary art. Additionally, you can take a break at the Dolcezza Coffee & Gelato café, the only locally owned establishment on the National Mall, located on the ground floor.

Museum and Sculpture Garden Hours:
The Museum is open daily from 10 AM to 5:30 PM, except on Christmas Day. The Plaza is accessible from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, while the Sculpture Garden is open from 7:30 AM to dusk.
