Upon arriving in Geiranger, one of my first priorities was to find the iconic viewpoint of the village and its fjord. Checking into our hotel was also important (perhaps for a little rest?).
The great news is that our hotel was situated right at the iconic viewpoint (yay!). However, it was too early to check-in, so no rest just yet.
After dropping off our luggage at the reception, we hopped back into the car to explore Dalsnibba, a recommended viewing spot.
Dalsnibba is the highest point, and while the roads winding up to it may be challenging, the breathtaking views make the trip worthwhile.
We stopped briefly at another great viewpoint, Flydals viewpoint, to take in the scenery before continuing our journey.
Continuing our drive, we encountered many beautiful distractions and captivating views of the neighboring landscape.
Eventually, we arrived at the Dalsnibba, a stunning destination that is not to be missed.
Entrance Fees: Be aware that there is an entry fee charged based on your vehicle type, and it’s payable by card, so cash isn’t a concern.
The scenic Djupvatnet lake nearby is also worth a visit if you decide to make a stop.
In conclusion, our journey back towards Geiranger was filled with stunning vistas and intriguing attractions along the way.
