The masterminds behind the counter are a couple of New York fellas named Nico and Christo. However, that’s about the only thing imported. The pizza dough is made fresh daily using high-gluten flour. The spicy Italian sausage, veal-pork-beef meatballs, and the pre-sautéed onions and mushrooms are also crafted in-house, with freshly grated cheese on top—alongside big imported pepperoni and green peppers.

The base price for a plain tomato-cheese slice starts at just $3.00, with additional toppings available for 50 cents each. Notably, this is one of the best deals on the Vegas Strip. When you savor it, you’ll agree it’s among the tastiest bites—featuring a foldable, crisp crust with delightful tomato flavors and fresh cheese. In fact, in New York, it might be regarded as a solid neighborhood joint, yet in Las Vegas, I believe there’s no better slice around. They also offer a white pizza made with ricotta, mozzarella, and herbs—consequently, each bite becomes even more sublime.

For the price of $17, you can indulge in a whole 16” pie, an incredible bargain for the Strip. Moreover, if you’re in the mood for a drink, enjoy Pabst Blue Ribbon and Dogfish IPA on tap for only $3.50. Seriously!

Finding the entrance can be a bit challenging, but asking around within the Cosmopolitan Hotel will lead you to it among the culinary treasures available. Remember, this is a hidden gem, offering no frills in a resort that seems to have everything you could desire. Although it lacks a sign or name, you’ll recognize it by the Galaga machine, and I’m eager to achieve the high score!

Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that it stays open until 4 AM, making it a perfect late-night option.

• Evel Pie – Celebrated as Downtown Las Vegas’ best pizza, you’ll often find yourself choosing it over others like Metro Pizza.
