One of the most remarkable aspects of the Canary Island of Fuerteventura is undoubtedly its diverse and evolving landscape.

One moment you are sailing through pristine blue waters, and the next moment you find yourself running through vast sand dunes. Before you are aware, you are enveloped by breathtaking mountains and undulating hills, reminiscent of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco.

Exploring Local Cheese

On our journey through the mountains, my companions and I set off in search of fresh cheese. It does not get any fresher than that which comes from the homestead itself. This particular farm is located in the beautiful town of Betancuria, renowned for producing some of the finest cheeses in the region.

Charming Towns

Not one to take someone’s word at face value, especially regarding cheese, I was eager to verify its quality personally by tasting it. The farm indeed did not disappoint, confirming the earlier claims regarding its exceptional cheese.

After confirming the exceptional quality of the cheese, we continued our journey, excitedly looking for our next culinary experience. My curiosity got the better of me, and we soon ended up in an unknown village. Nevertheless, the spontaneity of exploring quaint Spanish towns brought a refreshing delight to our adventure.

The only plan left for the day was to seek out more culinary delights before returning to the mountains for nighttime photography. Having previously captured the Northern Lights, I felt confident in my abilities, although photographing the Milky Way presented its own unique challenges, which I explored further in another discussion.
