Florida’s notoriously beautiful Gold Coast will welcome a notable addition to its impressive lineup of resorts geared toward luxury travelers. Shell Bay, located along the Intracoastal Waterway north of Miami, will open its doors in 2025. It will treat guests to luxurious amenities such as a private yacht club with a 48-slip marina and a Greg Norman–designed championship golf course. Set on 130 acres, the forthcoming Auberge Resorts Collection property will also feature 108 upscale residences.
Dan Friedkin, chairman of Auberge Resorts Collection, expressed excitement about continuing to grow their presence on the Atlantic Coast with the addition of Shell Bay, noting it is one of the most stunning waterfront locations in South Florida. He stated, “This seaside enclave will offer a unique slice of paradise, unlike any other destination in the Miami area.”
Award-winning studio AvroKO is responsible for designing the interiors of the 60-room hotel and the 20-story residential tower. The design focuses on modern, open-concept layouts and wraparound balconies that provide panoramic views, allowing guests and residents to fully appreciate the resort’s stunning surroundings.

Taking advantage of Florida’s outdoor lifestyle, Shell Bay will offer outstanding sports and wellness amenities. While the Sunshine State has no shortage of excellent golf courses, Shell Bay’s Greg Norman–designed championship golf course will stand out among golf enthusiasts. This course will be the first private golf course in Miami in 25 years, spanning 7,250 yards, making it one of the longest golf courses in South Florida. In addition, guests will have access to the property’s 12-acre professional practice facilities and a nine-hole Par 3 course.
For those who prefer activities other than golf, an 18,000-square-foot spa and fitness center will feature an outdoor area for open-air practice, a boxing ring, and a Pilates studio to keep heart rates up. Other highlights include four Grand Slam tennis courts, paddle ball and pickleball courts, as well as a full-size basketball court.
