Additionally, the town of Sant Feliu de Guixols is a popular destination along the Costa Brava coastal drive, making it an easy day trip from Girona. Known for its large monastery and stunning views, it’s worthwhile to spend time here after your adventure on the Via Ferrata Cali Molí.

A Via Ferrata represents the ultimate adventure hike, dangling along high sea cliffs while offering both thrills and breathtaking views. The journey typically lasts between 2-3 hours, during which you’ll traverse sea cliffs and rocky outcrops.
Along the route, you’ll encounter harrowing steel cable bridges, steep ladders, and hard granite rocks. What makes this via ferrata exceptional is the stunning backdrop of the sea that surrounds you. Moreover, as you take a moment to catch your breath and navigate tricky sections, the striking views of the Costa Brava Coast will leave you in awe.
Starting Off
The experience begins with manageable holds and iron grips on simple terrain. Your guide will instruct you on the basics, after which you are free to navigate through the obstacles ahead. The initial section offers numerous handholds before transitioning into higher, more challenging sections.
This via ferrata is categorized as intermediate, making it an excellent introduction. By the time you reach your first bridge hanging above the vibrant blue waters of the Mediterranean, you’ll feel ready to appreciate the view.
Safety
Via ferratas are inherently safe due to metal handholds secured into the rock, providing climbers with reliable grips. You are clipped into secure steel cables throughout the route and are always connected to safety mechanisms. While navigating the via ferrata, you will have two clips consistently attached to the cable.
As you progress, you only unclip one clip at a time as you safely transition to the next section, ensuring that there is no possibility of falling. Remember, always keep the clips facing towards you to avoid any risk of accidental unclipping.
Redundancy in safety is key; even at the highest points, you remain secure. Although your heart may race, you can trust in your safety while you settle in and immerse yourself in one of the most exhilarating day adventures available.
