It is considerably larger than one would expect, extending across various regions, including Trentino in the north. Our decision to revisit this picturesque region was motivated by a desire to further explore, particularly along the lakeside.
Arriving in Verona, we reached Riva del Garda, a charming town nestled at the edge of Lake Garda (part of Trentino) in just over an hour.
3. Local Cuisine
Our accommodations were at Holiday IV Garden hotel, a modern establishment that stands out from the traditional Italian hotels we have experienced. Its creative design and prime location significantly enhance the guest experience.
After settling in, we dined at Nuovo 900 Restaurant, where we sampled the regional specialty known as ‘Carne Salada,’ which means ‘salty beef.’ This dish features thinly sliced cured beef, which is refreshingly flavorful, especially when garnished with virgin olive oil. Similar in enjoyment to cured ham, it is a must-try.

Following this trend of activity, we embarked on a hike up the mountains to discover the historical Arco Castle.
The hike begins in the town of Arco, meandering through charming streets that lead to impressive views.
The trail is manageable, offering many opportunities to pause and relish the scenery, with stunning vistas rewarding your efforts.
As we ascended, the path becomes steeper, culminating in breathtaking views of Arco along with Lake Garda.
