Where Is Vinci?

Vinci is approximately 35 kilometers west of Florence. If driving, you can take the FI-PI-LI highway, which connects Florence and Pisa, exiting at Empoli, depending on your direction. It is about 10 kilometers north of Empoli.

La Casa Natale di Leonardo is the modest farmhouse where the artist was born on April 15, 1452. Located 3 kilometers from Vinci in Anchiano, it can be accessed by following the signs or by walking along a peaceful footpath surrounded by olive groves.
