SouthPark is a vibrant area located just six miles south of Uptown Charlotte, with its centerpiece being the SouthPark Mall, established in 1970. This area was originally part of a vast 3,000-acre farm belonging to former North Carolina Governor Cameron Morrison.

In addition to being a premier shopping destination, SouthPark serves as a bustling residential community and one of the largest business hubs in both Charlotte and North Carolina, hosting approximately 40,000 employees. The area is also known for the Charlotte Symphony’s Summer Pops series, adding cultural value to the neighborhood.

How to Get There

Several routes lead to SouthPark from Uptown, but the most accessible option is taking Providence Road south to Fairview Road. From there, head west into the heart of SouthPark. Before reaching Sharon Road, you’ll see the Phillips Place Shopping Center on your left. After crossing Sharon Road, the SouthPark Mall will be on your right, with the newly-constructed Piedmont Center located just beyond the mall.
