Top Seattle Day Trip: Explore Bainbridge Island

Day Trip: Bainbridge Island, Washington (2)

Seattle is among my favorite cities in the United States. It reminds me of Edinburgh in numerous aspects—not in terms of architecture, which is quite apparent, but more so in the atmosphere encapsulated by city life. The city is expansive enough to avoid a feeling of confinement, yet intimate enough to foster a close-knit community vibe.

While exploring some of the premier attractions in Seattle, we decided to take a ferry to the picturesque Bainbridge Island.

Bainbridge Island is a small island adjacent to Seattle, hosting a population approximately around twenty thousand residents. It has also received recognition as one of the best places in the USA to reside, making our decision to visit quite straightforward.

Upon arrival, my expectations were exceeded as I found myself enamored with its charm. It was quite simply blissful and relaxed.

This was the first location in the U.S. where I felt an immediate affinity and have often contemplated living here. The island presents a picturesque suburban setting with lovely homes and white picket fences, captivating me from the moment I set foot on land.

If you find yourself in Seattle, it is highly recommended that you allocate a brief duration for a mini-tour of Bainbridge Island.

It’s a worthwhile experience!
