Experience Fun and Relaxation at Kentucky Splash Water Park

About Kentucky Splash

A relatively small outdoor water park, Kentucky Splash nonetheless is a great place to cool down and find watery fun—especially during the state’s notoriously hot and sticky summers. The municipal park is run by the city of Williamsburg.

You’re not going to find major attractions typically found at larger, more full-featured water parks such as a water coaster or a funnel ride. However, you will find some of the usual suspects, including water slides, a 900-foot-long lazy river, and a wave pool. One of the park’s towers has three slides, two of which require tubes, and one of which is a body slide. Notably, one of the slides is enclosed, while a second tower features two intersecting body slides that twist around each other.

Kentucky Splash also offers an interactive water play center. Geared more towards younger kids, Tadpole Island boasts two small slides, water cannons, a climbing net, a tunnel, and a dump bucket. Furthermore, the shallow pool at the base of the center is ideal for little ones to enjoy safely.

Admission Policy, Location, and Operational Calendar

The park charges a flat admission price for all visitors. In 2019, the cost is $10, while children aged 2 and under can enter for free. Additionally, parking is complimentary.

Changing rooms with showers are provided with admission. Cabanas can be rented, and options for season passes and reduced-price group tickets are available. Kentucky Splash also offers party packages perfect for celebrating birthdays or special occasions, which include food, drinks, and a private party room.

The water park and Hal Rogers Family Entertainment Center are located at 1050 Highway 92 West in Williamsburg, Kentucky. To reach the park, take I-75 to Exit 11, Williamsburg to Hwy. 92W.

This seasonal, outdoor park is open from May to September and operates on weekends while school is still in session.

What’s to Eat?

The onsite Rainbow Cafe serves a variety of fast food options, including pizza, hamburgers, sandwiches, chili, fries, drinks, along with sweet treats like ice cream, Hawaiian Ice, funnel cakes, and more. However, it’s worth noting that the park does not permit guests to bring their own food or drinks.

Other Things to Do

Kentucky Splash is part of the Hal Rogers Family Entertainment Center. In addition to the water park, the center features:

  • Mini-golf
  • Driving range (Note that the driving range has a longer season than the water park and is closed from December through March)
  • Arcade
  • Gift shop

For those looking to extend their visit, consider staying onsite at the water park. The Kentucky Splash Campground offers 18 RV sites and 5 tent sites, and is open year-round for your convenience.
