Do you enjoy the sensation of sand between your toes, salt in your hair, and sun-kissed skin? Sundays Beach Club provides an ideal setting for a day of relaxation and leisure by the sea.
Nestled in a serene enclave of Uluwatu, Sundays Beach Club is a private oasis. For those who have yet to visit Sundays, the venue is celebrated for its laid-back beachside atmosphere. Enriching their already impressive offerings, including exquisite cuisine, cocktail pitchers, and comfortable bean bags, Sundays has elevated luxury with the introduction of their new VIP Beach Bungalows. Our experience in the VIP Beach Bungalows included a sumptuous spa treatment and a romantic dinner by the seashore, complemented by hours of enjoyment within the beach club.
VIP BEACH BUNGALOWS
Each VIP Beach Bungalow comes with a personal butler (indeed, you read that correctly), an extraordinary beachfront view, plush daybeds, as well as a private bathroom and shower. Our day in the VIP Beach Bungalows surpassed our expectations, highlighting how Sundays can provide an even greater experience!
SPA BY THE SEA
We commenced our day with a tranquil stroll through The Ungasan’s meticulously maintained grounds, gradually making our way down to the inclinator that offers breathtaking views from the clifftops. This scenic descent, accessed via an open-air inclinator, promises to captivate. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by aquamarine waters, swaying palms, and golden sands, along with the friendly staff of Sundays Beach Club, adorned in charming aqua and white tropical-themed uniforms that enhance the overall ambiance.
We were escorted to our private spa cabana where a revitalizing 60-minute massage awaited us. After changing in the private bathroom, we surrendered ourselves to a blissful retreat, thoroughly enjoying an hour of relaxation, accompanied by the soothing sounds of waves crashing onto the shore – an undeniably perfect way to experience a massage in Bali. Explore a selection of lavish spa treatments from the Vela Spa menu amidst this stunning beachfront location.
SUNDAYS BEACH CLUB
Undoubtedly, we indulged throughout the day, lounging on our VIP daybeds while enjoying sunshine and savoring an array of Sundays’ delicious cocktail creations and culinary delights. Rest assured, a plethora of ice-cold Bintangs awaits beer enthusiasts.
The Guacamole serves as an ideal beachside snack before proceeding to your Romantic Dinner (be cautious not to overindulge, as more delectable dishes are forthcoming!) This delightful guac is topped with grilled corn, fresh herbs, and crunchy corn chips – Bon Appetit! Sundays Beach Club also offers a variety of water sports activities, ensuring there is something for everyone, whether it’s paddling, surfing, or snorkeling to explore the crystal-clear waters and rock pools.
DATE NIGHT
For couples seeking romance, enjoy a Romantic Dinner curated for two, featuring stunning views over the Indian Ocean and rose petals adorning the setting – an exquisite proposal venue, we must say! The menus are skillfully crafted by Australian Executive Chef, Josh Tyler, who blends local Balinese ingredients and products with innovative flavors to create a menu that is both modern and imaginative. Our dining experience featured five delectable courses, each paired with suitable wines. The starter comprised House Baked Rye with Cultured Butter and a delightful Pear and Blue Cheese Cigar, accompanied by a sparkling Australian Chandon! Following that, we enjoyed an extra-fresh Yellowfin Tuna and Avocado Togorashi Bowl paired with an Australian Sauvignon Blanc – a tantalizing beginning to our culinary adventure.
After a brief interlude, we were served a Pinot Grigio from Italy, coinciding with our next course: ocean-fresh Handpicked Crab alongside Creamed Eggs and Burnt Butter, a combination that was a true flavor revelation! We then savored a tender Beef Striploin, delightfully complemented with Asparagus, Potato Fondant, and a rich buttery emulsion, accompanied by a Margaret River Shiraz from Australia. To conclude our exquisite five-course experience, we were treated to dessert featuring Salted Coconut Sorbet alongside Mango and Lime and Lemon Fool, with our final beverage for the evening a Frizzante Moscato, relished by the bonfire on the beach. Each dish showcased the meticulous attention and creativity rendered in their creation, with every flavor harmoniously elevating the other. This experience stands out as one of the premier culinary experiences in Bali, conveniently located by the beach, perfect for your next date night!
BEACH BONFIRES
After spending the day at the beach club, we were escorted into our private VIP Bungalows for our evening Romantic Dinner, but the excitement continued. Following a delightful dessert, we made our way to the beach for a classic Sundays Beach Club bonfire, where the soothing sounds of crackling wood and crashing waves perfectly concluded our enthralling day. The staff at Sundays Beach Club ensured our day and evening by the sea was unforgettable. This experience epitomizes the best of what Bali has to offer; we could easily enjoy additional seaside massages and Chef Josh Tyler’s delectable dishes any day of the week! If Sundays Beach Club is not yet on your Bali itinerary, be sure to add it; a visit to Bali is incomplete without experiencing Sundays.
