An Encounter at Immigration

Historically, Leipzig was once a part of East Germany, known as the GDR (German Democratic Republic). Upon my arrival, I thought to myself, “This city is breathtaking! There is an abundance of remarkable attractions here – how have we never considered a visit before?”.

My reflections regarding the immigration officer’s confusion were misplaced; until that enlightening tour, I lacked knowledge of the city’s past, although I later learned much more about its essence through a Trabi tour.
