Colek Pamor Waterfall – What To Expect
The hike to the Colek Pamor Waterfall takes approximately 15-30 minutes, depending on your pace. It is relatively easy, making it accessible for most visitors. Although a guide isn’t necessary, the path can be a little confusing at certain points.
Initially, you’ll encounter a paved path with a slight elevation gain, including two well-maintained concrete bridge crossings. However, this leads into a dirt and rocky terrain where you can enjoy the serene jungle atmosphere featuring a few majestic banyan trees.
As you approach the end of the trail, you’ll notice another significant waterfall below, often obscured by foliage. This is actually the GitGit Waterfall, which can be reached by a connecting path. Both waterfalls originate from the same stream, making them worthwhile stops if time permits!
Trekking Directions
The path to the waterfall has two junctions that can be a bit tricky. Here are direct instructions:
- At the first junction where there is no sign, turn right and proceed along the narrow path.
- At the second junction marked by three paths, go up the stairs. Though this junction has a sign, it’s uncertain how long that will last.
Entrance Fee
As of 2024, visiting the waterfall is free, with no parking or entrance fees reported during our visit. However, this could change as the waterfall becomes more popular, as is often the case with Bali’s attractions.
How To Get There
The Colek Pamor Waterfall is situated in North Bali, specifically in the Buleleng area. It is approximately a 30-minute drive from Lovina or Singaraja and about 2 hours from Ubud and southern tourist zones.
To reach the waterfall conveniently, renting a scooter or hiring a private vehicle with a driver is recommended. The parking area for Colek Pamor can be a narrow alley off the main road, which may be easy to overlook, so pay close attention while driving.
Upon entering the alley, you will find the waterfall path directly to your right, guided by the map pin provided.
