For several months, I have intended to share my experience at a remarkable establishment known as Le Pop, situated within Le Méridien right on La Rambla, the most frequented street in Barcelona.
While this choice may appear somewhat conventional, the quality of experience at this venue is exceptional.
On the evening in question, following a busy day of exploring the attractions of Barcelona, we arrived at Le Pop, slightly tardy for our 9 PM reservation.
Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted by the mixologist, who welcomed us with an array of vibrant and delectable cocktails.
Due to uncertainty about our preferences, we discussed our tastes openly, which the mixologist skillfully translated into unique cocktail creations based on our rather ambiguous tastes.
For instance, during my visit, I was particularly fond of ‘passion fruit’, and he thoughtfully crafted a remarkable passion fruit cocktail.
While I strive to recall the names of all the cocktails we savored, the time elapsed since our visit has blurred my memory. Consequently, I highly encourage you to experience them yourself.
The cocktails at Le Pop were remarkable and prompted us to extend our visit for dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, CentOnze. Our group selected various starters to share, including the traditional Catalan dish Pa amb tomàquet (bread with tomato and olive oil), scallops, jamón serrano (cured ham), beef with chimichurri, and patatas bravas (spicy potatoes).
One aspect distinctly memorable was the exquisite taste of each dish we ordered.
The flavors were so delightful that conversations at the table were punctuated with expressions of appreciation like “Mmmmmm“, “Yummmmm“, and “Ooooohhhh.”
