The Cotswolds represents the essence of quintessential British charm!
The undulating hills and serene meadows always serve as a refreshing retreat from the bustling atmosphere of London, particularly when celebrating the union of friends (this aptly describes my recent visit to Cotswolds for a friend’s wedding).
Initially, we checked into a delightful cottage, which was to be our home base and wedding celebration center for the next few days! This accommodation was astonishingly beautiful (as observed online), and I was pleased to discover that reality met expectations.
The couple, from Russia and Wales, bestowed upon guests the unique token of a Matryoshka doll combined with a Welsh love spoon! #IncrediblyThoughtful #AdoreIt
Regarding the wedding attire, no stringent dress code was imposed, allowing guests the freedom to choose their outfits. After an extensive search for a tweed jacket in London, where most options seemed exorbitantly priced, I fortuitously discovered a remarkable jacket in a vintage shop near Brick Lane. It fit impeccably, and I acquired it instantly. This jacket and I have maintained a blissful relationship since then.
The wedding was held at an exquisitely beautiful venue that exuded intimacy and perfection. The wedding cake was an absolute highlight—surrounded by white chocolate bars and adorned with fresh fruits! I knew instantly that a delightful late-night indulgence with the cake was inevitable (I may have spent a considerable portion of the evening whispering sweet compliments while savoring substantial slices).
Moreover, I befriended a whimsical bear who enthusiastically offered free apples, which, truth be told, I never refuse! For those who may be alarmed by the presence of a bear, rest assured, they are not common in the UK, and these were artistic representations.
As the festivities unfolded, the cameras eventually transitioned to a more laid-back focus—though not before capturing a moment where I fancied myself a Latin lover… Ah, the power of imagination!
Significant dance sessions ensued (including an unabashedly indulgent rendition of Gangnam Style) before we finally hopped into a taxi headed for our inviting cottage in the village.
