Bumble’s Global Connector Bee Program

Bumble is paying two people to travel around the world and make connections in romance and friendship as part of their new Global Connector Bee program.

Back in June, it was announced that Bumble, the women-first dating and social media app, was searching for candidates to travel around the world and make connections in business, friendships, and romance. After receiving thousands of applications, the company selected two candidates this month: Brigette Muller and Juliana Broste.

Juliana, hailing from Colorado, is an award-winning video journalist who brings experience from various publications, while New York City-resident Brigette is a seasoned social media specialist with a background at Etsy and Free People. Both women have been chosen to embark on a global journey, sharing their experiences through videos, blog posts, and social media content for Bumble.

Journey of Discovery

For Brigette, the most exciting aspect of this adventure lies in learning about how locals live in each city. She expressed, “I can’t wait to connect with people on Bumble and discover what each city is like. While the main attractions are significant, I’m eager to uncover the hidden gems and local spots through the insights of city residents. This will provide a unique, voyeuristic perspective of life in each area.”

Conversely, Juliana is curious about stepping outside her comfort zone and embracing risks. “It’s not easy to put yourself out there, but the chance of creating meaningful connections is invaluable,” she stated. “These significant risk opportunities are worth it. I’m thrilled to meet new individuals in innovative ways.”

Exciting Destinations

On Tuesday, both women landed in Singapore, their initial destination, for Bumble Bizz, a networking event tailored for women. Following this, they plan to explore Australia, Canada, India, Germany, Mexico, Norway, the UK, the USA, and Japan, spending two weeks in each country.

Commitment to Connection

Bumble mentioned that they received a multitude of applications for this role. Initially, they intended to hire one individual; however, after meeting Brigette and Juliana, they concluded that two people were needed for the job.

“We believed it was essential to have two people who could share their unique perspectives on forming connections and nurturing relationships across cultures, all while traveling together,” remarked Chelsea Maclin from Bumble’s marketing team. “I’m genuinely enthusiastic about how their experiences will vary from country to country.”
