The next day in St. Pete commenced at a leisurely pace. After several days of continual exploration across Clearwater and St. Pete, including the natural beauty of Caladesi Island, I recognized the necessity to appreciate the renowned beaches of this region.
The day unfolded with a delightful champagne brunch at the Don Cesar, providing an ideal excuse for an extended rest.
Following this, we savored breakfast tacos.
We sampled corned beef hash, accompanied by a tantalizing salad.
We indulged in a cinnamon roll drenched in fresh caramel sauce as well as steel-cut oats.
Subsequently, we headed to the beach. It was wonderful to finally take time to enjoy the sand, the gentle waves, and simply unwind.
All lunch plans quickly evaporated, and instead, we enjoyed a meal poolside at the Don Cesar.
Yes, I once again opted for buffalo wings (this time they were boneless), which I am still undecided about, as I appreciate the experience of eating traditional chicken wings. We also shared nachos alongside a selection of cold cocktails.
As the sun began to set, we transported ourselves to the Level 11 Rooftop Bar for a refreshing fleet of frozen cocktails, ensuring that our vehicle remained safely parked with the hotel valet, as the Uber ride took only a few minutes.

We concluded the evening at one of the few rotating restaurants left in the United States, Spinners.
Dining in a revolving restaurant evokes a peculiar sensation. I imagined it would resemble a rollercoaster ride, yet found it to be nearly imperceptible. Observing the storm progress from various angles was captivating, and while it did rain that evening, the following morning was resplendently sunny.
On the final morning in St. Pete, we opted for a tranquil start and took advantage of free bicycles from the Don Cesar for a leisurely ride around the enchanting local neighborhood.
St. Pete’s surroundings revealed a delightful charm, marking the conclusion of our journey as we returned the bikes and prepared for departure from the airport. Ultimately, our adventures in St. Pete and Clearwater provided a rejuvenating retreat filled with delectable food experiences, and I eagerly anticipate my return for another culinary exploration in this splendid region of Florida!
