The Carolina Opry Theater Christmas Special
Celebrating Christmas in grand style, this award-winning show debuted in 1985 as the first nightly Christmas special on the Grand Strand. Guests can expect popular holiday classics, new seasonal favorites, along with comedy, dance, and dazzling costumes, providing fun for everyone.
In 2019, “The Christmas Show of the South” featured the legendary Moses Braxton, known for his smooth baritone voice. He was joined by Kym “Bogie” Shurbutt, the Carolina Opry’s original comedian, alongside a cast of over 35 musicians, singers, and dancers.
This cherished Myrtle Beach holiday experience is the only show that has won every major South Carolina Tourism award, including the Governor’s Cup and Most Outstanding Attraction.

The Alabama Theatre presents an award-winning show mixing talented performers with festive decorations and special effects for a family-friendly holiday extravaganza. This year’s performance features a newly crafted holiday musical experience, combining traditional Christmas classics and contemporary favorites, including comedian Ricky Mokel along with holiday singers and dancers.
Christmas at Pirates Voyage
Captain Scrooge and the mystical Spirit of Christmas embark on a journey through the past, present, and future of Buccaneer Bay. During this Christmas-themed adventure, audiences encounter delightful attractions such as Christmas toys coming to life and a beautiful live Nativity, complete with wise men and live animals. A four-course holiday feast enhances the experience.
Christmas Wonderland
The Palace Theatre hosts A Christmas Wonderland, featuring glittering costumes, traditional holiday songs, and high-kicking chorus girls. Join Santa and his elves on a delightful journey filled with Christmas cheer, complete with a floating ice pond on stage for added enchantment.
Legends in Concert Holiday Shows
Located adjacent to Planet Hollywood at Broadway at the Beach, “Legends In Concert” is an internationally acclaimed celebrity tribute show. Offering live performances portraying music legends such as Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, and Whitney Houston, this show appeals to music lovers of all ages.
Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament

In addition to live music and dinner theaters, Myrtle Beach’s Brookgreen Garden radiates beauty with “Nights of a Thousand Candles.” Visitors can stroll through the soft glow of over 4,500 hand-lit candles and countless sparkling lights. Open for viewing from 3 to 10 p.m., guests can wander through the gardens while enjoying a cup of cider, accompanied by the sounds of musicians and carolers.
