Situated in the north-central region of the state of Alabama, Hoover is a relatively new city that was incorporated in 1967. The city derives its name from William H. Hoover, a local insurance company owner. 2. Enjoy Shopping at Riverchase Galleria

Riverchase Galleria, opened in February 1986, is the largest shopping mall in the area and serves as a vital source of employment and revenue for the local government. Ranking as the 46th largest shopping mall in the U.S., it features 218 stores and restaurants within an expanse surpassing 2.4 million square feet.

With countless shops and dining options, visitors can easily spend an entire day exploring. The mall hosts anchor stores such as Macy’s and Belk, and for those reminiscing about their childhood, the inaugural LEGO store in the state provides a delightful experience.
