Typically occurring on the second Thursday in December, the Junior Junkanoo Parade highlights the talents of Bahamian youth. Children immerse themselves in the traditions of Junkanoo from a young age, and they often astonish visitors with their impressive skills.

December 26 is particularly significant as it marks the Boxing Day Junkanoo parades occurring throughout the islands. These parades feature the finest junkanoo groups adorned in elaborate costumes, dancing energetically to pulsating rhythms. The festivities commence at 2 a.m., immediately following the Christmas Mass, transitioning from a spiritual celebration to an exuberant party.
