On May 2, Politico obtained a draft of a majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito indicating that the Supreme Court may strike down Roe v. Wade.
This landmark case, decided in 1973, affirmed a woman’s legal right to have an abortion under the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Consequently, since the leakage of this information, demonstrations have erupted across the United States. On May 14, numerous rallies took place, showcasing the passion of those advocating for abortion rights.
