A summary of our visit to the iconic Statue of Liberty.
During our last visit to New York, I was unable to experience the Statue of Liberty. After all, visiting this iconic landmark remains one of the most significant attractions in New York.
On a prior visit, I observed it from afar.
Equipped with our NYC Go passes this time, there was no way I was going to miss this landmark, especially after our explorations through the remarkable neighborhoods in New York.
We proceeded to the front of the line, collected our tickets, and made our way towards the boats.
Shortly afterward, we departed from Manhattan, receiving stunning views of New York City.
It is safe to say that we were quite enthusiastic!
As we passed by Ellis Island, we noted it would be our next stop in the afternoon…
… Before long, we approached Lady Liberty, almost within reach!
For a brief moment, I incorrectly assumed those lines of people were waiting for something. I am unsure of what that might have been, but thankfully, it was merely individuals taking selfies with the Statue of Liberty.
Periodically, I glanced back at Manhattan in the distance! I have a fondness for that city!
Finally, we disembarked at Liberty Island, eager to explore after years of anticipation.
The following hours flew by as we ran around energetically capturing photographs of the breathtaking scenery!
Eventually, it was time to bid farewell to Liberty Island and proceed to our subsequent destination – Ellis Island…
