LOCATION
Peppers is situated in the vibrant heart of Seminyak, providing direct access to Seminyak beach on one side and proximity to the lively Oberoi Avenue, renowned for its trendy cafés and boutique shops on the other. However, upon entering the lush, meticulously landscaped grounds of the property, one can retreat into the tranquil oasis that Peppers offers, a serene escape from the energetic streets.
PEPPERS SEMINYAK AESTHETIC
Each of the exquisite private villas at Peppers Seminyak is uniquely designed, showcasing distinct themes. Our fortunate stay in the three-bedroom presidential pool villa was impeccable. Each bedroom featured an inviting four-poster king-size bed, a television, and a private outdoor bathtub and shower—ideal for photography opportunities. The villa’s kitchen offers an open living plan, punctuated by a fully equipped kitchen and tastefully decorated lounge, complete with another large television. Our private 10-meter pool and cabana offered an optimal blend of sun and shade throughout the day, making it perfect for sunbathing and afternoon relaxation. Additionally, I learned that the villas, which are already in excellent condition, are undergoing gradual design enhancements, which I eagerly anticipate seeing.
PEPPERS SEMINYAK SERVICE
The staff exhibited exceptional friendliness and attentiveness, from the warm greetings at the front desk to the efficient room service and restaurant waitstaff. A highlight of my experience occurred when I ordered a glass of red wine to enjoy in our villa; the personable staff member brought a selection for me to sample first, akin to a private sommelier experience. This level of service was truly remarkable.
SPA @ PEPPERS SEMINYAK
The Spa at Peppers is expansive and features the most aesthetically stunning interior I have ever encountered, including a magnificent indoor tree that reaches the ceiling. I chose their signature Hot Stone Massage and was thoroughly impressed. The stones were at times so hot they took my breath away, yet they were handled swiftly enough in smooth strokes to create a contrasting hot and cold sensation along my back and in circular motions around my lower back. The treatment lasts 90 minutes and, at 650K Rupiah (less than US$50), is a veritable bargain. I entered with numerous thoughts occupying my mind and exited in a state of complete bliss.

The breakfast offered at The Laneway is both delicious and nutritious. Rather than indulging in an extensive buffet, guests can select from an à la carte menu tailored to their individual preferences, featuring a vibrant selection of fruits, yoghurts, bircher muesli, croissants, and juices available to complement the main dishes. This approach emphasizes quality over quantity, and the care in food preparation is evident when your meal is served. Alternatively, the same breakfast can be enjoyed in the villa, delivered by the attentive room service staff.
PEPPERS SEMINYAK, DINNER @ THE LANEWAY
On our final evening, we chose to dine at The Laneway. The restaurant ambiance was calm, illuminated by soft lighting that created a romantic atmosphere. The pulled pork slider, accompanied by Asian coleslaw, was exquisitely flavorful, prompting us to order another serving due to its delightful taste.
For our main course, we selected cumin-spiced lamb cutlets served with eggplant, caponata, and pesto, as well as Balinese red duck enhanced with apple eggplant, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, and rice.
To conclude our meal, we shared a chocolate hazelnut semi-freddo and a cinnamon donut with cream, dark chocolate, and strawberry jam. Our experiences were overwhelmingly satisfying.
PEPPERS SEMINYAK WITH CHILDREN
While the resort does not market itself as family-oriented, it is well-equipped to cater to children, making it an appealing choice for parents who prefer a more personalized experience over a commercial hotel environment.
We traveled with our three-year-old daughter and four-month-old son. The amicable staff prepared a beautifully arranged portable crib with fresh bedding and a mosquito net upon our arrival. Our daughter enjoyed the luxury of her own four-poster bed, akin to a princess’s quarters. To ensure her safety, we brought along a baby monitor and locked her bedroom door from the outside, just in case she decided to wander and accidentally fell into the pool.
For families traveling with young children, a temporary safety pool fence can be rented from Bali Villa Pool Fence to provide additional peace of mind. We were fortunate that our eldest is already capable of swimming, although under supervision, while our youngest remains stationary. Peppers is also equipped with high chairs and offers a nutritious menu for children.
Overall, Peppers Seminyak proved to be an exceptional family retreat that eschews the fast-food options often found at some well-known chain establishments on the other side of the island.
