The Ungasan name pays tribute to the surrounding Ungasan village, which serves as the residence for many of our staff and their families. The resort’s distinctive feather logo symbolizes flight and liberation, representing an elevated perspective. This emblem honors the community’s rich heritage and cultural foundations, highlighting the unique essence of the Ungasan village. Moreover, it also signifies luxury and the refreshing breezes afforded by the resort’s elevated location, offering stunning views of the horizon and the sea.

What Have Been Your Biggest Achievements Since the Rebrand in June 2016?

Initially, the successful rebranding and seamless transition into this new phase represented a significant achievement. The entire team dedicated themselves to establishing a refreshed and enhanced brand identity, and I take immense pride in their efforts. They consistently strive to provide an extraordinary experience for our guests. Furthermore, the collaboration with James Viles to introduce new menus throughout the resort has been transformative. Given the increasing guest demand for culinary excellence, our offerings have risen to prominence, and we take great pride in that. Over the past year, our focus on enhancing guest experiences has intensified, particularly in food and beverage, which plays a vital role. Unique offerings such as Afternoon Temptations and In-Villa BBQs have emerged, catering to the preference for shared experiences among global families. It has been an exciting year, filled with numerous accomplishments, and we are eager about the future prospects.

What Developments Have Occurred at Sundays Beach Club Since the Rebrand?

Earlier this year, we significantly upgraded the beach club by renovating the roofs and introducing several new striking areas. We established a boutique at Sundays, expanded the kitchen, and incorporated an impressive pizza oven. Our menus have been refreshed, and we now offer breakfast, allowing us to welcome guests starting at 8 am daily. Live music performances take place every Saturday from 3 pm to 7 pm, accompanied by evening bonfires at 6 pm featuring marshmallows and s’mores. Additionally, we have increased our inventory of stand-up paddleboards, canoes, and kayaks.
