NIHI SUMBA DINING

Dining punctuates each day, heralding the morning and closing out the night. It imbues meaning into every hour spent. Consequently, extensive care has been taken to ensure the dining experience for our guests is exceptional. Our menus are designed to evoke local flavors alongside global influences, utilizing fresh produce from our on-site organic garden. Local fish is caught and prepared uniquely every evening. We also prioritize the authenticity of our cooking methods, with toast being prepared over an open flame rather than a conventional toaster.

OMBAK

The central hub of social activity is the Ombak restaurant and bar lounge, sporting a sandy floor.

Ombak is a meticulously crafted open-air dining venue, serving a la carte breakfast and dinner daily amid a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Throughout the week, special dining experiences are curated, including impressive BBQ nights.

The spacious outdoor deck extends over the ocean, featuring lounging areas and a spectacular private dining experience known as The Nest, perched on the ocean’s edge—ideal for romantic dinners or intimate gatherings.

NIO BEACH CLUB & POOL

Just steps away from the shoreline, the Nio Beach Club offers open-air pavilions and the Kapten’s Goa (Captain’s Cave), serving the finest quality fresh ingredients for lunch. Whether it’s a fish freshly caught from the sea, vibrant vegetables from our thriving organic gardens, grill items, a daily rotisserie, or pizzas from our wood-fired clay oven, the culinary team is dedicated to providing sumptuous and healthy dishes.

The latest feature is a state-of-the-art lap pool, situated on the Edge of Wildness, offering soothing and refreshing views of the ocean, sunsets, and local village life during low tides. Lunch or snacks can be enjoyed poolside, and special occasions warrant enchanting settings for romantic dinners.

KABOKU

Introducing Kaboku (Sumbanese for “fish”), our beachfront sushi bar, represents the latest enhancement to our dining experiences.

At Kaboku, indulge in an intimate meal featuring freshly caught seafood presented Omakase style. Witness our sushi chefs skillfully prepare an assortment of catch-of-the-day amidst stunning sunsets and a blazing beach fire. The elegant structure captures the ambience of a high-end Japanese sushi bar, seamlessly integrated within our signature open-air resort environment.

Accommodating a maximum of six diners per seating, the restaurant operates five nights a week from 6 pm to 10 pm, with prior reservations recommended. The seven-course menu, emphasizing local ingredients, features an array including avocado tofu, shrimp dumplings, teriyaki dishes, miso soup, desserts, and more. Sake and wine pairings are also available to complement your meal.
